Wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. is the fourth Colorado Buffaloes player to hear his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft, joining wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver LaJohntay Wester. He was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round with pick No. 208.Â
The senior wide receiver transferred to Colorado after playing at the University of South Florida for two seasons.Â
The Florida native balled out in his junior year at CU, catching 58 receptions for 567 yards and six touchdowns. Horn missed two games in 2024 due to a lower-body injury, causing his production to drop. During his senior season, he put up 37 receptions for 441 yards and a touchdown.Â
His best game in black and gold was the 2024 season opener against North Dakota State. Horn torched the Bison’s FCS secondary, receiving seven passes for 198 yards and a touchdown. Â
The speedy wideout can also be a return man, returning a combined 32 punts and kickoffs in his time at Colorado.Â
Horn will join a receiver room highlighted by Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette and first-round draft pick Tetairoa McMillian.
