Top Drawer Soccer released its midseason top 100 players for women’s Division 1 soccer this week, including four Colorado Buffaloes.

Goalkeeper Jordan Nytes (No. 23), defender Ava Priest (No. 69), forward Shyra James (No. 74) and defender Phoenix Dawn Miranda (No. 82) are the four to make the midseason top 100.

Colorado currently sits at a 10-2-2 overall record with a 4-1-2 record in the Big 12.

Nytes, a junior and co-captain, is the highest-ranked Buff on the list at No. 23. Nytes is also the second-ranked goalkeeper on the list behind Cal’s Teagan Wy.

So far this season, Nytes has been incredible.  The Colorado native has started all 14 games for the Buffs and has played the most minutes on the team with 1,194. She has recorded eight shutouts. Nytes also set the Colorado record for the longest consecutive shutout streak at 583 minutes and 33 seconds this season. Overall, Nytes has only allowed 11 goals this season and has recorded 60 saves with a .845 save percentage. She added an assist in CU’s 1-0 win over UNC Greensboro.

Priest, a sophomore, is the highest-ranked field player for the Buffs on the list at No. 69. Also a Colorado kid, she has started all 14 games and played a total of 995 minutes for the Buffs this season. Priest has three goals and four assists this season with two of her assists coming in the 2-0 win against Michigan.

James, a fifth-year, sat at No. 74 in the rankings. When healthy, James has been a force on offense for the Buffs. James has only played in eight games this season but is the team’s leading goal scorer with six goals and one assist. She has 30 shot attempts this season with 19 of them on goal. James will look to return from injury later in the season and will look to continue scoring goals. James already broke Colorado’s all-time scoring record with a second half hat trick in a 5-1 win vs. Wyoming, and she will look to add to the record when she returns.

Dawn Miranda, a senior, was ranked No. 82 in the rankings. Miranda has played 1,114 minutes this season, which is the third most on the team. Miranda has played in four complete games so far and in those four games, the Buffs allowed a combined zero goals. Miranda has been a big part of the Buffs defense this season.

The Buffs will look to get back in the win column against the UCF Knights at home on Sunday after tying No. 24 Texas Tech on Thursday. The game will be aired on ESPN+ at noon.
