Former Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver LaJohntay Wester has been drafted in the sixth round, at No. 203 overall, to the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wester becomes the third Buffalo to hear their name called in Green Bay. He joins Travis Hunter as wide receivers to join the NFL out of Boulder in 2025.

Before transferring to Boulder, Wester played four seasons for the Florida Atlantic Owls. In his one season under head coach Deion Sanders, Wester played all 13 games, catching 74 passes for 931 yards and finding the endzone 10 times. The Florida native ran routes out of the slot where his speed and sharp route running created separation. Wester was effective on special teams as a punt returner.

Wester’s legacy as a Buffalo was cemented last September 21 when he caught a game-tying Hail Mary pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders to force overtime against the Baylor Bears. Wester finished his college career with a 50-game streak of at least one reception. He was named an honorable mention on the 2024 All-Big 12 team.

Wester will likely find his role with Baltimore as a punt returner. His speed and elusiveness with the ball in his hands can flip field possession for his team, but his short height and wingspan could be an issue against NFL corners.

Wester will have to clean up his issues with dropped passes and press coverage to find a spot in the Ravens' receiver room, though he'll catch balls from one of the league's premier quarterbacks in Lamar Jackson.
