The Colorado men’s basketball team added yet another recruit to their now five-man class in Tacko Fawaz.
The three-star recruit stands 6-foot-10, weighs 235 pounds and plays center. Fawaz is originally from New Jersey but plays basketball at Dream City Christian in Glendale, Arizona.
After visiting two weeks ago on Oct. 11, the recruit verbally committed to the Buffaloes over Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, Providence and St. John’s. The big man is ranked the No. 26 recruit in his position and seventh in the state of Arizona per ESPN.
Fawaz should complement the Buffs’ tall roster next year, assuming the current roster stays relatively the same.
“Fawaz is a big and strong post presence that takes up real estate in the paint on both ends of the court, rebounds his area, plays physical and can finish plays at the rim.” 247Sports' Travis Branham wrote.
This not only gives the Buffs a replacement for current graduate student Elijah Malone but will allow other young bigs on the team like Sebastian Rancik and Bangot Dak to spread the floor.
"I plan to contribute by bringing enthusiasm, fun and strong communication abilities, along with active listening and effective collaboration to enhance productivity," Fawaz told 247Sports.
Colorado now has five commits for its 2025 recruiting class. Fawaz will be joining guard Josiah Sanders (Colorado Prep), guard Isaiah Johnson (Valley Village, California.), guard Jalin Holland (Glendale, Arizona) and forward Ian Inman (The Woodlands, Texas).
