FORT WORTH, Texas – The Colorado Buffaloes (10-12, 3-7 Big 12) traveled down south to face off against No. 18 TCU (15-5, 7-3 Big 12) Wednesday night. The Horned Frogs gained their first point of the set through an attack error on Colorado’s side of the ball and never looked back. The Buffs were swept in three sets in this matchup against the Horned Frogs.

The Buffs were led by sophomore Lily Dwinell with a total of 10 kills for the night. Throughout the night and despite the loss, the Buffs kept it close. In the first set, CU had a lead of 15-10 before the Horned Frogs went on an 8-1 run where the Buffs couldn’t jump back into lead position.

One of the best hitters in the Big 12 was on TCU’s side of the court, as Melanie Parra continued to show her prowess. Parra had a match-high of 16 kills in the matchup, with a hitting percentage of .577 while the Buffs as a team had a hitting percentage of .155.

Colorado is continuing to struggle against their elite competition this season. In this matchup, they had a scoring point percentage of only 25% while the Horned Frogs were at 47%. The Buffs are in dire need to find scoring advantages against their top-flight competitors.
